Dame Bradbury’s Production of The Jungle Book

Published on 18/12/23

In November, Year 4 at Dame Bradbury’s performed a musical adaption of Rudyard Kipling's classic tale, “The Jungle Book,” by Tom Kirkham and Matthew Crossey.

The show centres on the journey of Mowgli, Baloo and Bagheera through the jungle, encountering mischievous monkeys, wily wolves and culminating in Mowgli’s final test - to battle the infamous Shere Khan.

Year 4 we’re thrilled to be performing the musical, set in the forests of India and explored the mediums of dance, music, comedy and drama throughout. The backstage creative crew brought the show to life with a colourful set design, intricate masks and show stopping costumes.

The pupils had the opportunity to tackle much loved characters from the strong- minded Mowgli and the comic Baloo, to the villainous snake Kaa and commanding Shere Khan.
