Our tutorial system means that every student builds a close working relationship with his or her tutor through individual discussions, informal gatherings and regular tutorials.
Your tutor will keep an eye on your academic progress and personal welfare and will be happy to provide one-to-one help and advice on anything you raise.
Tutor groups of about 15 students meet twice a week, first thing in the morning. Sessions cover a wide range of issues, from university choices and applications to gap year opportunities and independent travel abroad.
Tutor groups meet once a week. Students also meet tutors individually or in small groups to discuss specific issues, such as university applications – including interview preparation, aptitude tests and understanding student finance.
- Director of 6th Form – oversees the progress of all students – you can ask for advice whenever you want.
- Guidance Tutor – is in charge of careers advice and work experience placements.
- Oxbridge Tutor – supports the specific needs of students applying to the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford.
We’re also in close touch with parents, who can discuss any concerns with Tutors, the Director or Assistant Director or the Principal at any time. And, of course, we keep in regular contact through reports and consultation evenings.
"There is always someone available for you to talk to if you have any concerns or questions ... the staff are approachable, helpful and proactive in trying to resolve any issues you may have."“
